Cayman Islands - Getting There

Flights from the US are plentiful, with major American airlines flying to Grand Cayman anywhere from two to four times a week; a few fly daily during high season. The national carrier, Cayman Airways, offers more non-stop flights between Grand Cayman and the US than any other airline, with daily service from Miami and regular service scheduled several times a week from Tampa, Florida and Houston, Texas. It also provides connecting regional service to Cayman Brac, and to Kingston, Jamaica.

All flights touch down first on Grand Cayman, with connecting flights to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman usually departing the same day. Round-trip flights from the US and Canada average about US$450.

From the UK , British Airways flies to Grand Cayman three times weekly from London Heathrow, with a stopover in Nassau, Bahamas. Fare start around £500.

Although there are no direct flights from Australasia , a number of airlines offer connecting service from Australia to Los Angeles, then on to Grand Cayman, including American Airlines, Delta, Air New Zealand and Qantas.

Island Air (tel 345/949-5252, ), based in Grand Cayman, offers scheduled daily service between all three islands. The flight between Grand Cayman and either of the sister islands is approximately 40 minutes.

Cayman Brac is served by Cayman Airways, which provides daily jet service
