There is no public transportation on either Saba or St Eustatius. You can hire a car (although it normally works out cheaper to use taxis as there's not much driving needed). On Saba try Johnson's (tel 599/416-2269) or Scouts (tel 599/416-2205) and expect to pay around US$50 a day. On Statia try Fasha's (tel 599/318-2543) or Mansion (tel 599/318-2764) and expect to pay around US$40 a day for a car and US$30 for a scooter. Drive on the right and bear in mind that the only gas station on Statia is at Fort Bay (Mon-Sat 8am-3pm).

There are always taxis at the airport, though you may be asked to share the ride. On both islands rates are fixed; expect to pay US$10 from the airport to Windwardside (Saba), and US$6 from the airport to Oranjestad (Statia). A two-hour guided island tour on either Saba or Statia will cost US$40-45. If you need to arrange a taxi ahead of time on Statia call 599/318-2620
